Coronavirus update. In the UK we are on certain restricted movements, but the postal service carries on. Luckily I am near my local Post Office, and intend to carry on posting, obviously within guidelines and in a social distancing way! Please bear in mind there may be delays, and things may take a bit longer than normal.
Liven up your book shelf with this book nook shelf insert. There are 5 LED fairy lights in the ceiling in light shades, and these are really quite bright when turned on in the dark, they are bright white lights. There is a standard lamp with a light in, with lights at the back of the chair as well that really highlight this area. This is a rather cosy chair made with some leopard skin themed fabric and on the footstool, there is a small table which has a book, a telephone, a drink , a pair of spectacles and a ‘love’ sign. There are two piles of books on the floor, a fab none working fire,on the left wall is a little non working wooden cuckoo clock it’s adorable, and what everyone wants, a mini wooden robot! The background is a photo quality image of a library. The chair has a red cushion and throw. The chair, footstool, the standard lamp, the little table, the little books, cushion, I made myself, some from things destined for the recycling bin. Yes I could have bought them but I am a constant collector of things I deem too good to throw away! There is an option to add a Man or a Woman at an additional cost of £8, the woman might have a different coloured book to the one shown.
The battery pack is attached at the back for ease of changing the batteries, and the switch is at the top of the book at the end of the spine.
The book is black with black finishing , and measures just under 9 1/2″ tall, the book almost 6″ deep, 71/4″ including battery pack, almost
6 1/2″ wide at the front then tapers towards the back. It uses 2 AA batteries.
Hand crafted by me, taking quite a few hours, and made from upcycled books, so please allow for minor blemishes . Yes I treasure books but lots of unwanted hardback books end up in landfill as they can’t be recycled. Rest assured the pages from the books I use have been removed from the spine, and recycled.
