Liven up your book shelf with this book nook shelf insert. There are 8 lights in two clusters in the ceiling, they are bright white lights. A patterned chair with a cushion, and a matching footstool. There is a small table which has a huge hot drink with a cream heart, a book, a shell, a bar of chocolate, a bottle and a shopping list. Now here is where the wedding proposal can come in, instead of the shopping list, I can pop a tiny note and pencil in, the note reads ‘I love you. Will you Marry Me?’ Please make sure they have their reading glasses on as it is tiny lol! I can put that note in any other of my book nooks should you wish. Let me know which you prefer.
There are vintage advertising signs mounted on board on the walls, and a little plant. Look at my Big Ben tea pot in pride of place on the bookcase , it’s fabulous! I made the bookcase and put loads of books I made in it, and a little fake old suitcase as well ( made of card) There are little bottles, shells, a Tibetan silver stags head, lots of little things dotted about here.
The background wallpaper is a photo quality image of a vintage brick wall, I have taken natural light and flash photo’s, and it may appear different on your device. I made the chair…..oh I won’t bore you with the list but I made everything in this, apart from the mug the tea pot and the plant myself, you get the idea the challenge is to make as much as can! most from things destined for the recycling bin. All the books are made by me, this has taken an age to make!
The battery pack is attached at the back for ease of changing the batteries, and the switch is at the top of the book at the end of the spine.
The book is black with black finishing , and measures just under 9 1/2″ tall, the book is just over 6″ deep, 7 ” including battery pack, just over
Just over 6 1/2″ wide at the front then tapers towards the back. It uses 2 AA batteries.
Hand crafted by me, taking quite a few hours, and made from upcycled books, so please allow for minor blemishes on the outside of the book . Yes I treasure books but lots of unwanted hardback books end up in landfill as they can’t be recycled. Rest assured the pages from the books I use have been removed from the spine, and recycled.
Adult collectors only.
