Handmade by me, this gorgeous raggy quilt is quite a stunner” I have up cycled some curtain fabric, black floral curtain fabric made by Corniche, and the pattern is Caroline, sandwiched in the centre is cream fabric, all in brilliant condition. This shabby chic lap quilt is made in 3 layers, with all edges cut, giving it the shabby chic raggy look, this means it will shed thread for a while, but will settle down after a few good washes. I have washed it three times and taken the majority of shed threads from it, but you can wash it more, and make it even more shabby chic! Country house style with the blown cabbage roses. This is a lap quilt, or a throw in on a chair, I have put it on my garden bench to take some photos. A lot of work has gone into this, and I am sure it will be something to keep and pass down in the family! It measures aprox, 36” by 45”.
