Liven up your book shelf with this book nook shelf insert. There are 8 LED fairy lights in the ceiling in in two clusters, and these are really quite bright when turned on in the dark, they are bright white lights. This is a new design, old fashioned library books wallpaper, I love it!
There is a gold cosy chair and matching footstool, with an optional cat, please let me know if you don’t want him….awwww. There is a Buddha ornament, a fab vintage coronation biscuits tin with a plant on it. The table has a bottle of your favourite tipple, a glass, a book, a real shell, shopping list and two ornaments. There is a little old fashioned electric fire, and some books dotted about. I made the chair, footstool, table, ornamental bottles and books. Yes I could have bought them but I am a constant collector of things I deem too good to throw away! The background is a photo quality image of a library.
The battery pack is attached at the back for ease of changing the batteries, and the switch is at the top of the book at the end of the spine.
The book is black with black finishing , and measures just under 9 1/2″ tall, the book almost 6″ deep, 71/4″ including battery pack, just over
6 1/2″ wide at the front then tapers towards the back. It uses 2 AA batteries.
Hand crafted by me, taking quite a few hours, and made from upcycled books, so please allow for minor blemishes . Yes I treasure books but lots of unwanted hardback books end up in landfill as they can’t be recycled. Rest assured the pages from the books I use have been removed from the spine, and recycled.
